About Us
History
NAEW began as DQStyle Youth Wrestling, which was founded in 2016 by a group of Athens wrestling enthusiasts. Every year since, our club has grown in size and recognition around the Southeast. This year with input from our wrestlers and parents, we decided to change the name to be more aligned with our goals (below) and vision for the club. Come be a part of the growing tradition of great wrestling in North Alabama!
North Alabama Elite Wrestling Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide children in our community with a forum to learn not only the fundamentals of wrestling, but the value of accountability, resilience and hard work by fostering mental and physical toughness within a team environment.
To carry out our mission, we have set forth the following goals:
- Provide the youth in our community with a safe, positive environment where they can grow as wrestlers and as young people
- Promote the growth of the sport of wrestling in Alabama
- Build youth and schoolboy wrestlers who can compete at both the local and national level, and are therefore prepared to go into high school wrestling and place, if not win, at state and beyond

NAEW is affliated with the Alabama Youth Wrestling Organization which is governed by the Amateur Athletic Union.
